SPEED TRAINING FOR ATHLETES OF ALL LEVELS AND SPORTS
If you're looking to get faster for your sport? Join Coach Toy's speed training sessions. Sessions will cover the key speed fundamentals of acceleration, max speed, and strength. As athletes get faster, more specific cues are introduced as well as more complex drills. All ages and all sports are welcome to sign up. Sessions are limited to just 8-10 athletes max in order to provide high-quality coaching.

Three Easy Steps to Get Started
New scheduling will officially begin Sept 1 2025. Any Private/Semi-Private group sessions still need to go through Coach Toy.
Sign Up
First timers please fill out an "Athlete Onboarding Form." (button above) Coach Toy will contact you to get started with the best options based on your goals. Returning clients that need to make an online account, please click "member login" at the top and create a username & password. Coach Toy will transfer your current remaining sessions in your pack to "credits" on the online portal once you have an account.
Choose a package to purchase
Click on one of the packages that work best for you. Click Purchase. You will be asked to create a log in/password. You will use this for scheduling sessions, purchasing future programs, etc. If you need to renew a pack, please select a package, log in to your account when prompted and your credits will show up immediately.
Schedule your sessions
After purchasing a pack, you will be taken to the online COACH IQ platform to schedule a session. You can also log in on to the app for faster booking abilities. The online portal/app allow you to view open spots for sessions. schedule/cancel sessions, get automated reminders, and communicate with Coach Toy. Scheduling will be first come first serve.

All training sessions will be located in San Jose at "Headquarters" (Near Anne Darling Elementary)
Scheduling will be first come first serve. In order to reserve your spot for a session, you will need to create an account, click "available" and see what sessions have open spots left. (You may schedule sessions up to 30 days in advance. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you can do so up to 4 hours before the start of the session.)

KAUA'I SEPTEMBER SPEED CAMPS
KAUA'I, HAWAI'I

Location: Island School
Friday (9/5): 4:30pm-6:30pm
Saturday (9/6): 9:00am-11:00am
Ages 6-14
Attend just a single day or both days! These camps will focus on acceleration, max speed and change of direction technique. Learn how to be explosive, how to hit proper sprinting and cutting angles, and get tested to see how fast you really are. All sports are welcome to join!

SPEED + STRENGTH
Want to add strength training to your speed sessions? Train 1-2x a week and monitor your sprint progress using cutting-edge technology. Learn proper running mechanics to improve efficiency and speed, while developing an explosive first step. Athletes will also be introduced to foundational strength movements, building a solid base for long-term performance. Weight training will be age appropriate. (Space is limited!)

THE MISSION
Toy Soldier Training's mission is to empower young athletes to achieve lasting success in their sporting endeavors. This is accomplished by:
- Providing high-quality training programs that are specifically tailored to each athlete's needs and goals.
- Fostering a positive and motivating atmosphere where athletes feel inspired to push their boundaries and develop essential life skills such as discipline, determination, and teamwork.

MICHELLE TOY
CERTIFIED STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING SPECIALIST (CSCS)
Michelle Toy embarked on her athletic journey at the early age of four, where her love for sports was ignited in her hometown of Kauai, Hawaii. This early start in the world of sports played a pivotal role in shaping her dreams of pursuing a career in athletics.
Coach Toy pursued higher education at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, where she delved into the realms of Kinesiology and Rehabilitative Sciences. She earned both a bachelor's and master's degree, and has dedicated the last 14 years to making a significant impact within the San Jose. CA sports community. Her roles as a mentor and trainer are driven by a relentless commitment to guiding and nurturing athletes and it has not gone unnoticed. She was named the 2023 California State Coach of the Year by the NHSSCA. She was the first female in the state of California to receive that award.
In 2024, Coach Toy founded "Toy Soldier Training", a venture driven by her profound desire to shape the futures of young athletes. Her innate ability to connect with athletes and foster a welcoming and positive training environment is what truly defines her approach. Her sessions are infused with an infectious energy that inspires and empowers those she trains. She trains athletes from 6 years old to the pro level. Coach Toy's mission is to help build a solid foundation of speed and strength for the next generation of athletes.
